Governor Noem signs executive order aimed at helping SD farmers

Governor Kristi Noem has signed two executive orders.

One of the executive orders allows farmers to move over-width farming equipment from two hours before sunrise to two hours after sunset.  The order is to provide relief to farmers who have had to delay planting due to weather and soil conditions.

The other executive order changes the title of the South Dakota Compact Administrator for purposes of the Revised Interstate Compact Act for Adult Offender Supervision.  The title is changed to “Director of Parole” to reflect the Department of Corrections’ shift in organizational structure.
