A new student member has been appointed to the state Board of Regents.  Governor Kristi Noem this week appointed Brock Brown of Lake Norden to the Board to serve as the board’s student member.

Brown is a rising junior at South Dakota State University in Brookings, where he is majoring in History with a Teaching Specialization.  He also has a minor in Political Science.  Brown is active in student government and has interned in the Governor’s Office since January.

Brown said he’s looking forward to working with the existing Regents to make South Dakota better for his generation and to promote initiatives that will improve students’ and staff’s academic experiences.
