Gas Prices Rising in South Dakota

As temperatures rise, so do gasoline prices in South Dakota.

Triple A Auto Club reports the statewide average for a gallon of regular unleaded is $3.47 today. That’s ten cents a gallon higher than Monday, and over 14 cents a gallon higher than it was a week ago.

Nationally, the average price is $3.64 a gallon. A week ago, it was $3.50, and a month ago it was $3.47.

In Madison, most stations prices range from $3.39 to $3.44 early Thursday.

The rising prices come on the heels of the news that OPEC will cut production by over a million barrels per day beginning next month.
