The state Department of Health is reporting another two new positive COVID-19 cases in Lake County Friday, along with one new recovered case.  Lake County now has 142 total positive cases, with 114 of them recovered and a total of six virus-related deaths.  This means there are now 22 active COVID-19 cases in Lake County as of Friday.

Statewide, there are 283 new positive coronavirus cases reported Friday.  The number of active cases increased to just more than 25-hundred, and the number of people currently hospitalized increased to 98.  There were no new COVID-19 deaths reported by the state Friday.

In our area, Brookings County continues to have the most active cases Friday with 149.  Moody County currently has 20 active COVID-19 cases, McCook County has thirteen, and Kingsbury County has seven active cases.
