The number of positive COVID-19 cases increased by seven Friday in Lake County.  The state Department of Health is reporting seven new positive cases, as well as two recovered cases.  This puts Lake County’s totals as of Friday at 162 positive COVID-19 cases, 130 recovered, and seven total deaths.  There are currently 25 active cases in Lake County.

Statewide, another five COVID-19 deaths are being reported Friday, putting the state’s death toll at 198.  The state reports 389 new positive cases Friday, putting the overall statewide total at more than 18-thousand.  Of those cases, 2809 are considered active at this time, and 138 people are hospitalized.

In our area, Brookings County now has 90 active COVID-19 cases and McCook County has fourteen.  Moody County currently reports twelve active cases and Kingsbury County has ten.
