Another nine positive COVID-19 cases are reported in Lake County Friday, with one recovered case, according to the state Department of Health.  This puts Lake County’s total number of positive COVID-19 cases at 238, with 194 of them recovered and eight deaths.  That leaves 36 active cases in Lake County at this time. 

Statewide, five new virus-related deaths are being reported Friday, bringing the state’s total now to 277.  The deaths are reported in Lincoln, Minnehaha, Grant, and Yankton counties.  There are also 772 new positive COVID-19 cases reported statewide, putting the total number of positive cases in the state at more than 27-thousand.  Of these, close to 52-hundred are active cases at this time, and 267 people are hospitalized.  

In our area, the number of active COVID-19 cases continues to increase.  Brookings County is reporting 117 active cases, Moody County reports 45, and McCook County has 44 active COVID-19 cases. Miner County now has 22 active cases, and Kingsbury County has 19.
