Lake County reports five new positive COVID-19 cases Friday, along with five recovered cases.  This keeps the number of active cases now in Lake County at 64.  Lake County has had a total of 284 positive cases, 212 recovered, and eight deaths.  

Statewide, an additional 793 new positive cases are being reported by the state Department of Health Friday.  The state is also reporting three more COVID-19 deaths, putting the state’s total number of deaths at 307.  

Active coronavirus cases in the state increased to 7312 Friday, and there are currently 299 people hospitalized because of the virus. 

Elsewhere in our area, McCook County reports 54 active COVID-19 cases Friday, Moody County has 50, and Miner County has 47.  Kingsbury County reports 44 active cases, and Brookings County has 261 as of Friday.
