The state Department of Health reports 36 more COVID-19 deaths today.  

Eight of the deaths are from area counties, including four in Moody County and one each in McCook, Miner, Kingsbury, and Brookings counties.  The state’s total number of deaths is now at 741.  New positive COVID-19 cases in the state today are up more than 13-hundred, and the number of active cases is now at 18-thousand-407.  574 people in the state are currently hospitalized because of COVID-19.

Positive cases in Lake County increased by nine today, and there are three recovered cases.  Lake County’s totals are now 754 overall positive COVID-19 cases, with 526 recovered cases and nine deaths.  There are now 219 active cases in Lake County.

Elsewhere in our area, McCook County currently has 187 active cases, Kingsbury County has 132, and Moody County has 112 active COVID-19 cases.  Miner County currently has 36 active cases, and Brookings County has 505.
