Friday COVID-19 update: 14 new positive cases in Lake County; 1559 in state and 12 deaths
New positive COVID-19 cases increased by fourteen Friday in Lake County. The county now reports 403 positive cases, with 271 recovered and nine deaths. There are now 123 active COVID-19 cases in Lake County.
Statewide, another 1559 new positive cases are being reported Friday. The state Department of Health reports that just more than 13-thousand-500 positive COVID-19 cases in the state are active as of Friday. The state also reports 12 more COVID-19 deaths, bringing the state’s total number of virus-related deaths to 415. 403 people are currently hospitalized.
Active COVID-19 cases in our area counties include: McCook County with 90 as of Friday, Kingsbury County with 81, and Moody County with 80 active cases. Miner County now has 62 active COVID-19 cases, and Brookings County has 398.
