Another COVID-19 death was reported in Lake County on Sunday, bringing the total number of virus-related deaths in the county to four.  The death was reported to be a woman in her 80’s from Lake County.  The state Department of Health reported one new positive COVID-19 case in Lake County over the weekend, putting the county’s total number of positive cases to date at 101.  Five more recoveries were reported in the county over the weekend, so there are now seven active COVID-19 cases.  There have been 973 negative tests in the county.

Statewide, a total of 250 new positive coronavirus cases were reported.  There were three total additional deaths since Friday.  The state’s total number of positive cases is 10-thousand-274.  Of those cases, 1182 are currently active, and 66 people are hospitalized.  

Elsewhere in the area, McCook County saw an increase of four positive COVID-19 cases over the weekend and currently has ten active cases.  Brookings County reports 18 active cases at this time, Moody County has three, and Kingsbury County has one.  Miner County’s positive cases are all recovered at this time, so there are no active COVID-19 cases there.
