Two Men Sentenced for Forged IDs
Two Madison men were sentenced for possession of a forged instrument on Tuesday in Lake County Circuit Court. Carlos Gutierrez Rugama, age 44, had previously pleaded guilty to possession of a forged instrument, for possessing a fake ID. He also pleaded guilty to a 1st offense DUI. Judge Pat Pardy ordered Gutierrez Rugama to serve 10 days in jail, with credit for one day already served, and also ordered that he pay several fines and costs.Â
 Martin Aguirre Castaneda also pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a forged instrument. As a result of the plea agreement, three other charges were dismissed. He was found in possession of a forged driver’s license and social security card. He primarily resides in Texas. Judge Pat Pardy granted a suspended imposition of sentence, and ordered that he pay certain fines and costs, and serve 10 days in jail with credit for 3 days already served.
