DSU provides plans for student move-in
Dakota State University in Madison has announced it’s move-in plans for fall semester 2020, which have been adjusted due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
This year, DSU will be executing a four-day move-in plan to enhance the safety of students and staff. The move-in process will begin on Saturday, August 15th and go through Tuesday, August 18th. Classes start on August 19th.
All students will schedule in advance a move-in appointment time.
Each student will have one hour beginning from their appointment time to move into their dorm. Students will be allowed to have two individuals over the age of 18 to help them, and DSU will not be providing any people to help students move their stuff in.
These appointments will enable DSU to follow CDC guidelines by limiting the number of individuals on a floor in a residence hall at a given time.
Along with the four-day move in process, students will have the opportunity to schedule an appointment between August 1st and the 14th to move their personal items into their assigned rooms. Students who take advantage of this option will not be allowed to stay on campus. They are only allowed to move their personal items into their assigned rooms.
DSU students will be provided more information on how to schedule appointments for move-in in early July.
