DSU GenCyber Girls camp learns about safety with digital photos

A representative from Access Data met with girls attending this week’s GenCyber Girls in CybHER Security camp at Dakota State University in Madison.  The camp includes girls in 6th through 9th grades.

Justin Tolman, Director of North American Training at Access Data, discussed digital forensics and said now is a good time to talk to these girls about being safe with the photos they take and share with others.

Tolman said that each photo can contain a lot of information.

Tolman said that security and safety is every individual’s responsibility.  He said that parents also need to be aware of the dangers of what predators can find out about a child online.
