DSU Educators Rising Expo

Dakota State University’s College of Education is excited to host the Educators Rising Learning Expo on Wednesday, Oct. 11.

The event is an opportunity for high school students interested in teaching to learn what it means to be an educator. This will take place through engaging hands-on activities, breakout sessions, and meeting with current College of Education students, faculty, and alumni.

Educators Rising is a national organization dedicated to “cultivating a new generation of highly skilled educators by guiding young people on a path from high school through college and into their teaching careers,” according to its website. 

One of the overarching messages of the day is the importance of building relationships. 

Another highlight throughout the day is DSU’s technology-focused programming. Faculty use technology to help students learn material, develop thinking skills, and assist with self-expression. 

The College of Education faculty at DSU are excited to show high school students what their future in DSU’s education program can look like. Attendees will get to ask questions of a panel of DSU education majors.
