DSU announces first True Trojan Hexagon Award winners
Dakota State University in Madison has announced their first-ever True Trojan Hexagon Award winners.
These awards were created in 2019 to coincide with the university’s new brand image featuring the hexagon, as a way for the university to acknowledge employees who exhibit true Trojan Pride. These individuals are recognized for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to the mission of DSU, and are united under the university’s driving goals and principals.Â
Awardees were chosen by a committee consisting of two Civil Services Association (CSA) employees, two Non-Faculty Exempt (NFE) employees, and two faculty members.
The 2020 CSA Outstanding Contributor award has been presented to Shelly Rawstern, Assessment Coordinator with DSU’s College of Education, while the NFE Outstanding Contributor award went to Tyler Steele, DSU’s Manager of Multimedia Services with Information Technology Services.
The 2020 Faculty Outstanding Contributor award went to Dr. Cherie Noteboom, an associate professor of Management Information Systems in DSU’s College of Business and Information Systems.Â
Penny Johnson received the Staff Outstanding Contributor award this year. Johnson is a Professional Advising Coach DSU’s Title-III Student Retention.Â
This year’s Bringing Out the Best Award recipient at DSU is Angi Kappenman, Vice President for Human Resources, and DSU’s Team of the Year award went to the Marketing and Communications team. Â
