While day to day numbers go up and down, the overall trend for COVID-19 infections in the state has been going up over the past few weeks.

State Epidemiologist Dr. Josh Clayton says they are watching carefully.

Clayton says there seems to be some public normalization of the coronavirus.

Clayton says the public can help them by responding when they call doing contact tracing.

The state now has more than 12-hundred active COVID-19 cases. So far, one hundred fifty-five people, including five in Lake County, have died due to the coronavirus.
