Dine Out to Donate raises more than $3500 for IAUW

The Interlakes Area United Way’s most recent fundraiser brought in more than 35-hundred dollars for the organization – the most that it has raised since its inception.  The Interlakes Area United Way held its Dine Out to Donate event in early October and raised a total of $3546. This is the fifth year for the event, and United Way President Lori Gustaf said it was the most successful one yet.  Overall since starting the fundraising event in 2017, it has raised more than 12-thousand-700 dollars.

For the event, sixteen restaurants and eateries in Lake, Miner, and Moody counties pledged to donate a portion of the day’s sales to the Interlakes Area United Way.

The United Way provides financial support to non-profit, community service agencies and programs in the three-county region. It aims to create long-lasting changes by focusing on the building blocks for a good life: education, financial stability and health.

The organization awarded more than 107-thousand dollars in grant funding to 27 non-profit partners in 2021.
