Department Of Health Tracking Infections

The state has had close to 70-thousand positive COVID-19 cases since tracking began this past March. State Epidemiologist Dr. Josh Clayton says the demographics of the infection have been pretty stable.

Clayton says older people that get infected are more likely to end up in the hospital.

Clayton says the statistics show the infection is more deadly for older people.

There have been more than 700 virus-related deaths in the state since March.
