Decision to cancel Prairie Village Steam Threshing Jamboree not an easy one

The decision to cancel the annual Steam Threshing Jamboree at Prairie Village for this year is one that board members there did not come to easily.  Prairie Village Director Faron Wahl said that there are a lot of factors that needed to be considered in making the decision to cancel the August event. 

Wahl said that many of the people involved with making the Jamboree what it is were not going to be able to take part this year.

Even though the Jamboree and other events held at Prairie Village have been cancelled this summer, Wahl said the Village recently just opened for visitors and camping.

Wahl said that he appreciates people’s support and understanding of the tough decisions that have had to be made at Prairie Village this year.
