Another six COVID-19 deaths were reported by the state Department of Health on Thursday, bringing the state’s virus-related death toll to 1788.  The state also reported 174 new positive COVID-19 cases, putting the state’s overall total number of positive cases at nearly 109-thousand since the start of the pandemic.  Currently, just more than 25-hundred cases are active and 126 people are hospitalized.

Lake County reported three additional positive COVID-19 cases Thursday and four recovered cases.  There were 39 active coronavirus cases in Lake County as of Thursday.

Elsewhere in our area, Miner County reported 18 active cases as of yesterday, and Moody and Kingsbury Counties each had fourteen.  McCook County had 10 active cases, and Brookings County reported 129.
