Another COVID-19 related death has been reported in the state Wednesday, putting the total number of deaths from the virus now at 69.  The state Department of Health reports Wednesday’s death is a Beadle County resident.  Beadle County has now had six people die from COVID-19. 

81 new positive cases are being reported in the state Wednesday, putting the state’s overall total at just more than 56-hundred.  962 of the cases are currently active and 101 people are hospitalized because of COVID-19.

Lake County continues to have three active cases.  Overall, the county has had 13 total cases with nine of them recovered and one death.  There have been 432 negative tests in Lake County.

Elsewhere in the area, Kingsbury and Moody counties each report three active cases currently, and McCook and Miner counties each have one.  Brookings County currently has 8 active COVID-19 cases.
