The Lake County Courthouse will soon undergo some remodeling work on it’s bathroom facilities.  Lake County Commissioners on Tuesday heard from Buildings and Grounds Superintendent Dave Hare regarding the bathroom remodeling project.  Hare presented the architect’s drawings of the remodeling work for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floor bathrooms to commissioners. He said they are planning something different for the bathroom on the 4th floor of the courthouse building.

Hare said that the projected cost of the courthouse bathroom remodeling project is close to 350-thousand dollars.  Auditor Bobbi Janke said there is currently 200-thousand dollars budgeted for 2020 for the project, so the budget will need to be supplemented to cover the total cost.

Hare said that the project is expected to go out for bid within the next month and be completed by the end of June 2020.

Commissioners on Tuesday voted to acknowledge receiving the preliminary design documents prepared by Architecture Incorporated and to approve the preliminary design plans for the courthouse bathroom remodeling project.
