County approves Sheriff’s Office renovations

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is going to undergo some renovations.  Sheriff Tim Walburg met with Lake County Commissioners Tuesday to discuss a re-design of the front office area of the Sheriff’s Office.  Walburg said that it would provide more safety for the employees.

Walburg said that the renovation would change the flow of their offices.

Walburg said that he had originally submitted a plan to request funds for the project through the American Recovery Plan Act funding through the county, but instead asked to be able to use 24-7 program funds for the project.  Walburg said he had a bid for the project from Amert Construction of Madison for just more than 19-thousand dollars.  Commissioners Tuesday approved Walburg’s plan to move forward with the project using the 24-7 program funds.
