The Lake County Commission on Tuesday approved the annual renewal of the county’s liquor licenses.  There are currently seven establishments with liquor licenses in Lake County. Auditor Bobbi Janke said that the Sheriff’s Office reported no problems with any of the businesses.  Commissioners approved the license renewals and noted that the county still has one retail on-sale liquor license available at a cost of 50-thousand dollars.

Lake County Commissioners on Tuesday also held their land lease auction for land the county owns known as the former Lake County Poor Farm.  Two bidders took part in the auction of the land in the county courthouse lobby. The top bidder is Sorenson Farms with a bid of 15-thousand-500 dollars annually for the next two years for the just more than 75 acres.
