Coronavirus affecting area businesses

Businesses in the Madison area and across the state are making changes to keep serving customers in a time when social distancing is being encouraged.

State Retailers Association President Nathan Sanderson says some businesses have added curb-side service to their businesses.

Many fast-food restaurants have closed their lobbies and gone to drive through service only.

Sanderson says if you can’t get to a business, to try to help them out by buying gift cards or giving them a good review online.  He says that will help in jump starting their businesses when things get back to normal again.

Sanderson expects most businesses will weather this unprecedented storm, but, unfortunately he doesn’t think all of them will.
