Corbin name Executive Director of SD Association of Rural Water Systems

The South Dakota Association of Rural Water Systems has appointed a new Executive Director. Jeremiah Corbin, who had been serving as the Interim Director after the retirement of Kurt Pfeifle, (fife lee) was formally appointed to the position last week.

The Association of Rural Water Systems was formed in 1976, and was located in Sioux Falls until 2010. That year the headquarters was moved to Madison, taking over the former Heartland Energy building on Center and Van Eps.

Corbin says there’s a wide range of services the association provides.

In a state with such large rural areas, Corbin says making sure infrastructure is in place for new development is a major focus as well.

He adds that finding new skilled workers is another new area the association is addressing.
