Madison City Commissioners have approved repair work to be done on the city’s outdoor pool.  Earlier, commissioners authorized a leak detection company to find leakage areas in the pool.  On Monday, commissioners authorized using the city’s swimming pool repair reserve fund to pay for the repairs that need to be made.

City Finance Officer Jennifer Eimers told commissioners that Aquatics Coordinator Laurie Bunker provided a proposal from MC&R Pools of Sioux Falls to do the repair work.  The proposal shows an estimated cost of close to 30-thousand dollars for the work.

Commissioner Kelly Johnson said that they hope to have everything completed either this fall or early next spring.  Commissioner Bob Thill asked that they request a guarantee from MC&R Pools, and Johnson said they can do that.

Commissioners approved the use of up to 30-thousand dollars from the swimming pool repair reserve fund for the pool repairs.
