City to develop strategic plan

The City of Madison will start developing a strategic plan.  Madison City Commissioners last week approved a proposal from PASQ, which is headquartered in Burke, South Dakota, to help put the plan together.

City Administrator Jameson Berreth said that the city had put out a request for proposals and received several bids, with PASQ being the lowest one.  He said that PASQ is a rural economic development agency that will focus on creating a three-year strategic plan.

Berreth said the total cost for PASQ’s services for the city is just more than 21-thousand dollars.
