The City of Madison continues to move forward with work on installing new playground equipment in the city’s Memorial Park.  During their meeting Monday, Madison City Commissioners set a bid date for the concrete slab project for the Memorial Park playground equipment to be mounted on.  The bid date is August 20th and City Engineer Chad Comes said that they hope to have the work done by October.  The city’s Parks Department received a grant for new playground equipment to be installed at the park.  Parks Supervisor Mike McGillivray said that the old equipment there will be removed and what can be salvaged and deemed still usable will be relocated somewhere else within the city. Â
