City of Madison Has a Mobile App

The City of Madison has  launched its brand-new mobile app, “City of Madison SD,” designed to keep residents informed and connected with just one tap.  The City of Madison’s mobile app provides instant access to the latest city news, real-time emergency updates, convenient utility bill payments, job  opportunities, ordinances, and much more—all from the convenience of a mobile device.   

Savannah Olinger, Communications & Marketing Coordinator said the app is another step toward increased communication and engagement. Instead of having to open a web browser and search for the City of Madison website or scrolling through posts on social media, it’s now just a tap away.

The app, available for free download on the App Store or Google Play, will evolve as the City of Madison continues working on one of its most significant communication projects: optimizing its website. As part of the app and website integration, information on the City’s mobile app will be simultaneously updated, ensuring a seamless experience across both platforms. Future optimizations will include a more robust   directory of department staff and information, increased online business options, and an overall improved and engaging user experience.
