City Meeting
Madison City Commission held their 2nd monthly meeting earlier this week. The Commission discussed a proposal for water tower maintenance, staff determined the NE water tower required maintenance and repairs beyond what is generally completed each year. Additionally, the NE tower is also scheduled for a comprehensive renovation within seven years in conjunction with maintenance plans for both the NE tower and the new SE tower. To complete the necessary renovations as well as annual maintenance on both towers, The city decided to advertise for a long-term maintenance contract that completes the necessary work while providing consistent annual costs for budgeting purposes.Â
The Commission also set the public works & utilities fees, fines, and penalties for the year.
The next regular Commission Meeting will be on Monday June 3rd at 5:30 PM in the Commission Room at Madison City Hall.
