City Commission Discusses County Opt-Out

At the Madison City Commission meeting one of the major topics discussed was the upcoming County Opt Out vote.The City Commission met with members of the pubic as well as the county commission to fully discuss the opt out . County Commissioner Deb Reinicke appeared before the commission and  spoke more on the situation that Lake County currently finds itself in.

Not everyone was on board with the opt out, Steve Kant spoke on some of his feelings towards the opt out.

Mayor Roy Lindsay encourages citizens to review both sides of the Opt Out and make an informed decision when voting.

 The Lake County Special Election for the Opt Out will be held on September 19th.
