City commission approves law enforcement training agreement

The Madison City Commission has approved a law enforcement officer certification agreement.  During their meeting Monday, commissioners heard from Madison Police Chief Justin Meyer regarding the agreement.  He said that this agreement applies to a newly employed officer who needs to attend the state’s Law Enforcement Training Academy.  

According to the agreement approved by commissioners, the officer will be enrolled in the Law Enforcement Basic Certification Course starting on March 7th of 2022.
