The Madison City Commission has approved a contract with a company to handle the recodification of the city’s ordinances.  Commissioners approved the contract with Municode of Florida during their meeting this week.

City Finance Officer Sonya Wilt told commissioners that the recodification base cost is just under 15-thousand dollars, with some additional costs for other services.  Wilt explained what Municode will do.

Wilt said Municode also offers a hosting functionality that makes it easier to search information and other municipalities as well.  She said there is also a way to put meeting minutes, agendas, and other information in a more searchable format.

Commissioner Adam Shaw said this will be beneficial to the city.

Commissioners approved having the Mayor sign the contract with Municode on a unanimous vote.
