City commission acknowledges non-profit 2022 budget requests

Madison City Commissioners this week acknowledged funding requests for 2022 from several non-profit organizations.

During their meeting Monday, commissioners received a listing of twelve non-profit groups requesting funding from the city in 2022.  City Finance Officer Sonya Wilt told commissioners that the groups filled out a form on the city’s website.  She said that all but four of the organizations’ requests were the same as previous years.  Wilt said those requesting an increase are the Madison Area Arts Council, ICAP-Senior Dining, First District Association of Local Governments, and the Smith Zimmermann Museum.

Commissioners acknowledged the budget funding requests Monday and will consider them during their 2022 budget discussions.
