City awards sidewalk improvement project bid to Madison company

The Madison City Commission has approved the bid from a Madison company to handle the work for the city’s sidewalk improvement project for this year.  Commissioners on Monday awarded the bid for the project to J&M Construction of Madison at a bid of close to 66-thousand dollars. City Engineer Chad Comes said there were three bidders on the project, with J&M being the low bidder.  J&M Construction has done the work for the city for the past several years, and Comes said that they have been very satisfied with their work.
