City approves sales tax rebate agreement extension for Custom Touch Homes
The Madison City Commission has approved extending a sales tax rebate agreement with Custom Touch Homes of Madison. Lake Area Improvement Corporation Executive Director Eric Fosheim met with commissioners Monday requesting the extension of the agreement for another ten years. Â
Fosheim told commissioners that Custom Touch has put some of the money it’s made through this agreement back into its facility and plans to do more in the future. He said that this agreement has benefited both the business and the city.
Jeff Heinemeyer, the city’s Interim Finance Officer, told commissioners that he was involved in putting together the original agreement with Custom Touch Homes, and said that it’s situation is unique.
