City approves purchase of used paver

The Madison City Commission has approved the purchase of a paver for the city’s Streets Department.  During their meeting Monday, commissioners heard from Streets Director Gary Gonyo regarding the paver that is to be purchased from Asphalt Pros of Madison for 75-hundred dollars.  Gonyo said it is a 1999 Mauldian 1720 paver with 18-hundred hours on it.  He said it could be used for bigger holes or areas that are too big for the city crews to handle otherwise. Commissioners approved the transfer of money for Gonyo to move forward with the paver purchase.
