City approves proposal for design work on second phase of Madison Aquatic Center repairs

The Madison City Commission has approved a proposal for architectural and engineering design services for the second phase of work to be completed at the Madison Aquatic Center.  Commissioners on Monday approved having designArc of Brookings do the engineering design work.

City Utilities Director Brad Lawrence said this includes some additional operational and safety items that need to be done at the Center.

Lawrence said that designArc will provide design, bid documents, and construction administration for the Aquatic Center improvements that are needed.

designArc’s proposed fee for this project is 24-thousand dollars.Â
