City approves new fence for swimming pool park

The Madison City Commission on Monday approved the installation of a new fence at the city’s swimming pool park.  

City Parks Supervisor Mike McGillivray presented an estimate for materials to commissioners from Michael’s Fence and Supply of Sioux Falls.  The estimate is close to 31-hundred dollars.  

McGillivray explained where the fence will be located.

McGillivray said the fence will be moved a little further away from the street.

McGillivray said he plans to purchase the materials for the fence this year, with installation possible either this fall or next spring.
