City approves malt beverage license for Madison business

The Madison City Commission approved a retail malt beverage license for a Madison business during its meeting Monday.  Commissioners approved the license for Gaylen’s Gourmet Popcorn, located at 118 East Center Street in Madison.  Gaylen Backus with Gaylen’s Gourmet Popcorn told commissioners that they are interested in adding more local products to their store, and that includes wine from South Dakota wineries.  

Commissioners Monday also approved an application for a temporary alcohol license for the Catholic Daughters of America and Knights of Columbus in Madison.  The temporary license is for the St. Thomas Church Social scheduled for February 18th.
