City approves grant agreement for airport project

The City of Madison is receiving a grant to help with the design portion of a project at the Madison Airport.  City Engineer Chad Comes told Madison City Commissioners during their meeting Monday that the funds included in the grant agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration will pay for the design of an apron expansion project at the Airport.  Comes said that the grant is for 96-thousand dollars and one-hundred percent of it is paid through the federal CARES Act.  He said that KLJ Engineering has been hired to do the design work on the project.  Comes said that the city will pay for the work and be reimbursed with the grant funds. Â
