City approves fuel agreement with county

The Madison City Commission on Monday approved the city’s annual fuel agreement with Lake County.  City Finance Officer Jennifer Eimers told commissioners that the agreement is approved each year and allows for the city to purchase its fuel from Lake County through the use of the county’s fuel tanks.  Eimers said the next year’s agreement has an administrative fee of ten-cents per gallon.  She said that fee amount changes from year to year, but will most likely increase for next year’s agreement.

The fuel agreement is renewed by the city commission annually and runs from July 1st of this year to June 30th of next year.
