City approves convention center liquor license for Madison hotel

The Madison City Commission on Monday approved an application for a convention center (on-sale) liquor license for a Madison hotel.  Commissioners approved the license for the Madison Hospitality Group LLC’s Best Western Plus Lakeview, which is located on Southeast 12th Street in the Lakeview Industrial Park.  The group is planning to build an outdoor event space with a full service bar.  According to the Best Western Plus Lakeview’s Facebook page, the event space will be a 40-foot by 100-foot framed tent with concrete floor and can seat 300 guests.
