The Madison City Commission has approved a Madison company’s bid for work on the city’s sidewalk improvement project for this year.  Commissioners Monday approved the low bid of J&M Construction of Madison.  City Engineer Chad Comes told commissioners that there were two bidders for the project, and J&M Construction had the low bid at just more than 196-thousand dollars.  Comes recommended commissioners approve the bid.

Also on Monday, commissioners set the bid date for the city’s water main improvement project.  Comes said that project is for work to be done on North Union Avenue in Madison, north of 9th Street.  Commissioners set the bid date for the project for April 6th.
