City commission approves alcohol license transfer for Madison restaurant’s new location
The Madison City Commission took action Monday on the transfer of alcohol licenses for a Madison business. Commissioners approved the transfer of the retail (on-off sale) malt beverage and South Dakota Farm Wine license, as well as the retail (on-off sale) wine and cider licenses for El Vaquero. The licenses were transferred because El Vaquero is moving locations from near the corner of Northeast 2nd Street and Washington Avenue to the former Pizza Hut building on Northwest 2nd Street in Madison.
Commissioners on Monday also set a hearing date for an application from Dakota Butcher of Madison for a retail (on-off sale) malt beverage license, and for a temporary retail (on-off sale) malt beverage license. The temporary license is for a Montgomery’s Furniture parking lot party scheduled for July 17th. The public hearing on the licenses is set for July 12th.
