The Madison Community Center will soon be advertising for a new position for the facility. Madison City Commissioners Monday approved a resolution amending the city’s established employee compensation for 2021 to add the position of Recreation/Intramurals/Special Event Coordinator for the Community Center. City Administrator Jameson Berreth said that it’s part of the Center’s re-organization.
Berreth said that once the resolution is approved, the Community Center will be able to advertise for the new position.
Also on Monday, commissioners approved a request from the Community Center to have the Madison Fire Department help with an upcoming event. April Peterson, the Center’s Group Fitness and Special Events Coordinator, told commissioners that they would like the fire department’s help with the Splash and Dash 5-K run/walk on July 10th. The event is raising money for the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
