Both the Madison City Commission and the Madison Central School Board approved the canvas of the votes cast in last week’s city and school board elections during their respective meetings this week.  

The top vote-getters in the Madison City Commission election are Adam Shaw and Jerae Wire.  They will take their oaths of office for their three-year terms on the commission on July 6th.  Voter turnout in the city’s election on June 2nd was 29-point-69-percent.

Receiving the most votes in the Madison Central School Board election are Rob Honomichl and Richard Avery.  They will also start their three-year terms on the school board in July.  Voter turnout for the Madison Central School Board election was 30-point-25-percent.
