Chester Wilbur Ellis Stay Strong Stay Pink Event Totals

The Wilbur-Ellis Chester, SD, location held their Start Strong Stay Strong Pink Seed Program. Started by Jim Reiff, a long-time Wilbur- Ellis employee and lead sales agronomist, the program donates a portion of all seed treatment sales made by the location to regional cancer research and patient support organizations.

Since the start of the program, the local Wilbur-Ellis Chester team has proudly donated $75,000 through The Pink Seed Program. This year they raised a total of $7,500 to three organizations.. The company presented donation checks to the organizations at the Chester High School Dig Pink Night Volleyball game.Proceeds from the match were donated by the high school for breast cancer research.

The program started in 2013 when the local Wilbur-Ellis team wanted to show support to the Chester High School Lady Flyers volleyball team who were raising awareness about breast cancer.Named after the color of treated soybeans, which have a pink tint coinciding with the same color designated for breast cancer awareness, The Pink Seed Program is something the local Wilbur-Ellis team is proud to champion; they are grateful to have the support year after year from customers and suppliers.

The Chester Wilbur-Ellis team hopes to continue supporting the community in the future.
