BBB: File taxes earlier to avoid potential scams

The Federal Income tax filing season is now open. Taxpayers have until April 18th to either file their 2022 federal returns or request an extension.
Jessie Schmidt of the Better Business Bureau said it’s better to file sooner, rather than later.
Schmidt said it is something that happens every year.
Schmidt said the Better Business Bureau has more information regarding tax preparation on its website.
